Laboratories
The Science Department at AIS believes that practical work enriches students learning and improves their thinking skills. It gives the students the chance to practice the scientific method and hence to gain greater appreciation for the science and the natural world.
In our school, there is a fully prepared lab to assist the school to meet the requirements of AIS international programs.
The lab is not limited to undertake experiments; it is comprehensively used to do scientific assignments and experiments, and aids researches.
In our lab, we have safety and hazard rules, appropriate chemical storage, and correct labeling. The lab contains all the required tools to guarantee safety for our students.
The lab is supervised by full time lab technicians; their responsibilities consist of organizing the experiments and investigation, in addition to controlling students throughout lab work, and finding alternative solutions to contingent situations.
Teachers plan lab visits during the year to support our international curriculum.
Our purpose of making this facility accessible within AIS is to provide our students with the opportunity to implement, develop, and improve their internal scientific skills.
Allowing AIS students to develop scientific skills by controlling, investigation, analytical, structural. Also examine theories, and develop our student’s knowledgeable abilities, and critical logical thoughts and philosophies, problematic resolving, applying skills and theories, analysis findings and data.
On the other hand, understanding and connecting the nature of science, logical inspiration, in what way the students of AIS work, existence of a multiplicity of scientific approaches, with the connection between science and technology and between the several restraints of science.
Finally teaching our students curiosity, concentration, risk managements, independence, confidence, determination, satisfaction, accountability and collaboration.
