Within Almaharat schools assuring the safe environment for the kids to be at all the time with the full professional supervised atmosphere.
Medical clinic in the school is a primary care clinic based in the school campus. The medical clinic has a full-time experienced school nurse who will be able to provide the students with the best health care needed. In addition to a part-time doctor who is on call for two hours three days a week (varying).
The clinic is fully equipped with first-aid equipment and has basic medicines for emergency cases. Also parents are required to provide the school clinic with health report for the students, and if the child suffers from any type of allergies.
Examination
Children are all examined by the doctor, they are:
- Weighed
- Measured
- Their hair is checked
- Their eyes are tested
In any case if the child is not feeling well during the day, the medical clinic is open and available all the time and the child will be sent to the nurse for primary and professional nurse care, finally if needed parents will be contacted and child will be sent home.
NB: For all children, parents are always consulted before any medication is given.
Medical Records
Medical records are kept for all the children. The nurse will inform the teachers if a child has any medical problems and therefore requires any special care.
During flu epidemics, certain procedures are followed: parents are always informed of the situation and information is given out as to how best to minimize the spread of the infection.
Parents are always welcome to come and discuss any medical problems their child may have.
For new families, advice can be given as to where they might take their children for treatment and which doctor they need to see.
